For organizations seeking Membership/Designation-Only Membership to this United Way, the Budgets and Admissions Manual (B&A Manual -- see document link below) provides detailed information about applying for membership, our budget procedures, and responsibilities of Member/Designation-Only Member agencies.

 

The annual deadline date of April 1st applies to all organizations seeking Membership/Designation-Only Membership to be funded in the upcoming year (see pg. 11 of the Budgets & Admissions Manual).  Please review all of these items closely.

 

 


 After reviewing the B&A Manual, to apply for Membership/Designation-Only Membership, you will need to submit the following;

q    A letter requesting Membership/Designation-Only Membership, along with copy of an IRS tax exempt letter or 501(c)(3), a complete board list and the agency bylaws (see additional guidelines on page 11 of the Budgets & Admissions Manual).

q    A properly signed Membership Agreement / Designation-Only Membership Agreement (must be submitted to the United Way office no later than April 1st) to be considered for funding/designations in the upcoming year.  The agreement(s) can be found in the back of the B&A Manual, or opened here --
    

q    An annual operating budget and funding request, as well as a most recent Annual Audit.  Below you will find a set of our 'Budget' Financial Reporting forms and a summarized chart of accounts (to aide you in completing the Financial Reporting forms).

NOTE:  Organizations seeking Designation-Only Membership are not required to submit the Annual Operating 'Budget' Financial Reporting forms.
