• American Red Cross – We are continuing to serve people who have experienced a home fire or other natural disasters and local Red Cross Disaster Responders still have 24-hour access the office for to obtain supplies, equipment, etc. to allow for service delivery. There is an URGENT call for blood donors to give! There is also an URGENT call for plasma donors from those who have had COVID-19 and have COMPLETELY recovered.   • Flynn Christian Fellowship Home – They will not be admitting any new residents until further notice. Click HERE to follow along for future info.
  • Girl Scouts NC Coastal Pines – All Girl Scout activities are cancelled for the foreseeable future. Cookies still available, email: jsmith@nccoastalpines.org for details.
  • Habitat For Humanity – The Habitat ReStore are monitoring the local recommendations and also keeping tabs on what other Habitat affiliates are doing on a state and national level. Click HERE for updates.
  • Hope Station – Both shelters will remain open.  We will assist any shelter clients who become ill per guidance from the Health Dept.  New shelter applicants will not be admitted if they have any symptoms of anything.  The shelters will remain open as long as supervisory staffers are available. We are preparing for any possibility of sheltering-in-place and/or quarantine and will follow directives from the Health Dept or public officials. The Food Pantry remains open 9:00-11:30am Mon/Wed/Fri mornings.  We have suspended the “client choice” pantry and are distributing a generous 3-days-worth of food through the front door.  New clients are asked to bring an ID.  We will continue services as long as we have volunteers, staff, & food to do so. We will have limited emergency financial assistance unless we receive funds from community partners to provide such assistance in the wake of new needs. Click HERE for more info.
  • Mental Health America in Wilson Co. – is suspending its Alzheimer’s/Dementia Caregiver Support Group which meets at Spring Arbor Assisted Living on the third Tuesday of each month, until further notice. The new dementia caregiver support group that was scheduled to begin at Winstead United Methodist Church on Sundays has also been put on hold.

  • Partnership For Children – Wilson County – closed until further notice due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.

  • Special Olympics – Special Olympics International (SOI) to suspend all sports training and competition for Special Olympics athletes through at least May, click HERE for more information.
  • The SPOT – The SPOT follows the emergency closures of Wilson County Schools and will be closed beginning Monday March 16, 2020. They will continue to serve meals in a Drive-Thru format.   • Wesley Shelter – is operating as usual with a staggered team staffing. 24 hours Crisis line is available for victims of domestic and sexual violence at 252-291-2344. The Clothes Line is closed. Please save donations until the store reopens.

  • Y.O.U.T.H. of Wilson -Due to COVID-19, we are currently activating our emergency policies for the safety and well-being of our staff and their families, the youth and families we service daily, all of our volunteers and the community.
