You’re Invited: United Way of Wilson County Poverty Summit 3
Join us as we explore how our community can work united to lift 1,000 households out of poverty by 2035.
Session 3
Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026
3 PM – 5 PM
Frank L. Eagles Community Business Center at Wilson Community College
902 Herring Ave. E
Wilson N.C.
Registration is required. A light afternoon snack will be provided.
In our first two sessions, we explored the realities and root causes of poverty in Wilson County and identified barriers, gaps and opportunities for action.
One theme emerged across multiple groups: the need for stronger navigation and connection to resources.
Now, we want to explore what that could look like in Wilson County.
How can we make it easier for individuals and families to find the resources they need? How can community partners work together more effectively? And what role can United Way play in helping build a more connected system of support?
We are calling on partners, nonprofits, faith-based communities, volunteers, residents and elected officials from across all sectors who are interested in being part of the work to reduce poverty and create greater stability for individuals and families in Wilson County.
Join us to share your ideas, explore possibilities, and help shape what comes next.
United, we can lift up our neighbors toward a better tomorrow.
